Canine Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative measurement of canine Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha (TNF alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. A 96-well microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for TNF alpha. Standards and samples are added and TNF alpha present in each sample binds to the immobilised antibody; detection uses a biotinylated anti-TNF alpha antibody followed by HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution and read at 450 nm on a microplate reader, with analyte concentration calculated from the standard curve.

The product is supplied as a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) for colorimetric detection, with total assay time of 4h 30m. Sensitivity is <1.19 pg/ml and the working range is 3.12-200 pg/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Reported values per sample type (n=5) span 80%-102% in serum (average 91%), 81%-100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80%-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions (n=5) is 87%-91%, 87%-107%, 74%-101% and 92%-97% for serum, 90%-105%, 84%-101%, 90%-101% and 79%-108% for EDTA plasma, and 84%-95%, 92%-105%, 82%-105% and 89%-91% for heparin plasma.
