Canine Tryptase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Mast Cell Tryptase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and samples are added to the wells where Mast Cell Tryptase binds to the immobilised capture antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-Mast Cell Tryptase detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The HRP enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. Concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve. The assay takes 4h 30m and is specific for Mast Cell Tryptase.

Reported sensitivity is <13.3 pg/ml with an assay range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery values for serum (n=5) range from 80%–102% (average 91%), for EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81%–99% (average 90%), and for heparin plasma (n=5) from 80%–89% (average 84%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the stated expiration date.
