Canine Transferrin ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative determination of canine Transferrin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids, supplied by Antibodies.com. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for Transferrin is pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and bound Transferrin is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Transferrin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm in a microplate reader.

The reported product range is 3.12–200 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 1.12 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed. The kit is intended for use with serum and plasma samples.

Reported recovery data are provided for serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–99%, average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity values are also given for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.
