Canine Thyroid Stimulating Hormone ELISA Kit

This competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with TSH antigen, and the assay uses a Biotinylated Anti-TSH Antibody in a competitive enzyme immunoassay format. An HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are employed, with the reaction read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; the density of yellow is inversely proportional to TSH concentration.

Reported sensitivity is <11.25 pg/ml and the assay range is 46.8–3000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 2 h 30 min. Recovery in serum has been reported at 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma at 81–99% (average 90%, n=5) and in heparin plasma at 80–89% (average 84%, n=5).

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, a 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
