Canine Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 (MCP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The test uses a 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) pre-coated with an antibody specific for MCP1. Standards and samples are added to the wells; MCP1 is captured by the immobilised antibody and detected with a biotinylated anti-MCP1 antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate.

TMB substrate yields a blue product converted to yellow by the acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and MCP1 concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The stated assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with sensitivity of <0.058 ng/ml. Reported recovery ranges (n=5) are 80–102% (mean 91%) in serum, 81–100% (mean 90%) in EDTA plasma and 80–89% (mean 84%) in heparin plasma. Linearity data are also provided at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.
