Canine Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay enables the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Matrix Metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for MMP9 is pre-coated onto the microplate; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-MMP9 antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, the assay range is 3.12–200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.25 ng/ml, and the protocol takes approximately 4h 30m. Reported recovery in serum (n=5) ranges from 80%–102% with an average of 91%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81%–100% with an average of 90%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80%–89% with an average of 84%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the assay should not be used past the expiration date.
