Canine Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 Alpha ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific to Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha captured in each well, and the concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader against a standard curve.

The assay has a working range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values include Serum (n=5) 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA Plasma (n=5) 81–100% (average 90%), and Heparin Plasma (n=5) 80–89% (average 84%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.
