Canine Leukemia Inhibitory Factor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-LIF detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance characteristics include a standard curve range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 14.7 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation showed recovery averaging 91% in serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-99%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each).
