Canine Leptin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Leptin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Leptin. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and bound Leptin is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Leptin Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm and Leptin concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve. The colourimetric assay takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes to complete.

The assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.127 ng/ml. In spike-and-recovery testing, serum samples (n=5) showed 80% - 102% recovery (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 81% - 99% recovery (average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5) showed 80% - 89% recovery (average 84%). Linearity has been demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Provided components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with storage temperatures varying by component.
