Canine Interleukin 8 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Canine IL-8 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine interleukin-8 (IL-8) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and the enzymatic reaction is read colorimetrically at 450 nm on a microplate reader. The manufacturer-stated assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.058 ng/ml and a standard curve range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Average recovery figures are given as 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5 in each case). Reagent components are intended to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed on the product documentation.
