Canine Interleukin 17 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of canine IL-17A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for IL-17A is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and IL-17A present in each sample binds to the wells via the immobilized antibody. Following incubation, wells are washed and incubated with Biotinylated Anti-IL-17A Antibody, which binds the captured IL-17A. HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added. Following further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution is added, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of IL-17A captured in each well. Concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve.

Reported recovery values are: Serum range 80% - 102% (average 91%, n=5), EDTA Plasma range 81% - 100% (average 90%, n=5), and Heparin Plasma range 80% - 89% (average 84%, n=5). The kit has a quantitative detection range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <31 pg/ml, and an assay time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate comprising 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.
