Canine Interleukin 1 Beta ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Interleukin 1 Beta (IL-1 beta). The assay is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids, and uses a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for canine IL-1 beta. Captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-IL-1 beta antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate with TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and is proportional to the amount of IL-1 beta present in the sample.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.4 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated in serum (n=5, range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%, average 84%). Linearity on dilution has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Components supplied include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
