Canine Interferon Beta ELISA Kit

For the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Interferon Beta, this sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and samples are added to the wells, where Interferon Beta is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Interferon Beta Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Performance figures supplied with the kit include a standard-curve range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5.6 pg/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery averages (n=5) are 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
