Canine Gastrin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Gastrin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), where Gastrin present in samples or standards competes with immobilized Gastrin antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Gastrin Antibody. After incubation and washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate to visualise the reaction. The resulting yellow colour intensity is inversely proportional to Gastrin concentration, which is calculated from O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <4.28 pg/ml and a total assay time of 2h 30m. Recovery data show averages of 92% for serum (range 82-102%, n=5), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 90-100%, n=5), and 94% for heparin plasma (range 88-100%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 gave ranges of 77-110% for serum, 76-110% for EDTA plasma, and 75-110% for heparin plasma. Components include a lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers; kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
