The Antibodies.com Canine Endoglin ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine CD105 (Endoglin) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids.

Using the sandwich immunoassay technique, the assay employs a pre-coated microplate to which an antibody specific for CD105 is immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and any CD105 present binds to the coated surface. Following washing, a biotinylated anti-CD105 antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CD105 captured in each well. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and CD105 concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.33 ng/ml and a standard range of 0.781–50 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery averages across sample types (n=5) are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma. The kit is suitable for canine serum and plasma samples. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
