Canine Complement Component 5a ELISA Kit

The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific to Complement C5a, with detection carried out on a colorimetric microplate reader. After incubation with a biotinylated anti-Complement C5a antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, a TMB substrate solution produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm, and the concentration of Complement C5a is calculated against a standard curve. The assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

The kit is intended for canine serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Reported average recovery values across the tested sample set are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma, with corresponding dilution linearity ranges provided for each sample type at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.
