Canine Colony Stimulating Factor 2, Granulocyte Macrophage ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) configured for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF). It is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids.

The product range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <7.2 pg/ml, and the assay is completed in 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery is 80%–102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81%–100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma.

An antibody specific for GM-CSF is pre-coated onto a microplate, and standards or test samples are added so that the target is captured by the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated anti-GM-CSF antibody is then added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that becomes yellow after addition of the stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the GM-CSF concentration is derived from the standard curve.
