Canine Clusterin ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Clusterin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Clusterin pre-coated onto a microplate, with detection via a Biotinylated Anti-Clusterin Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, visualised with TMB substrate that produces a yellow product read at 450 nm.

The kit has a stated detection range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.5 ng/ml, and is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Readout is performed on a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported spike-and-recovery averages are 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–99%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is also reported.
