Canine CASP8 ELISA Kit

A 4-hour sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Caspase-8 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids.

The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for Caspase-8; after incubation and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody is added to form an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich. HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm, with concentration calculated against the standard curve. Quantitative detection is by colorimetric measurement (OD450). The antibody is reported as specific for Caspase-8, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

Average recoveries reported by the manufacturer are 98% for serum (range 86-105%), 99% for EDTA plasma (range 95-104%), and 100% for heparin plasma (range 86-105%) across the samples tested. The kit is shipped at +4°C; components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided and the kit not used past its expiration date.
