Canine Brain Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate (12 × 8 well strips) bearing a capture antibody specific for BNP, with standards and test samples added so that the BNP present in each sample is bound to the wells by the immobilised antibody.

Bound BNP is detected using a biotinylated anti-BNP antibody followed by an HRP conjugate, and TMB substrate is then added to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; the absorbance is directly proportional to the amount of BNP captured and is quantified against the standard curve.
