Canine Alpha-Fetoprotein ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Canine Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) ELISA Kit quantitatively measures AFP, a 70 kDa oncofetal glycoprotein, in canine serum or plasma. In adult dogs, circulating AFP is investigated as a biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and hepatic regenerative changes following toxic insult.

Each kit supports 96 tests in a pre-coated capture antibody plate. The reported detection range is 1.56 to 100 ng/mL with assay sensitivity 0.156 ng/mL. The required sample volume is 50 µl per well. The capture antibody is canine-specific and shows no significant cross-reactivity with bovine, equine, or human AFP under standard assay conditions.

Reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw degradation; the sealed microplate may be kept at 4°C until the printed expiration. Protect the chromogenic substrate from light. The kit is supplied as a complete pack including pre-coated plate, lyophilized canine AFP standard, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash concentrate, TMB substrate, and stop solution.
