The Antibodies.com Canine Adrenomedullin/ADM ELISA Kit is a competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of canine adrenomedullin (ADM) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with ADM antigen and uses a biotinylated anti-ADM antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection is performed colorimetrically using TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and is inversely proportional to the ADM concentration of the sample.

The assay reports a detection range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <4.74 pg/ml and a total run time of 2 hours 30 minutes. Sample compatibility has been demonstrated for serum (n=5; average recovery 91%, range 80–102%), EDTA plasma (n=5; average 90%, range 81–99%) and heparin plasma (n=5; average 84%, range 80–89%), with dilution linearity verified at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in each matrix. Kit components supplied by Antibodies.com include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solution A, detection solution B, 30× wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.

Most components are stored at −20 °C, with the wash buffer, TMB substrate and stop solution stored at +4 °C. Third-party product information describes the detection reagent as a rabbit IgG and the assay principle as competitive inhibition immunoassay. As stated by the supplier, the kit is for research use only and is not intended for human or animal therapeutic or diagnostic applications.
