Bovine Visfatin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Visfatin in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-Visfatin detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml and the sensitivity is <0.115 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery validation yielded averages of 92% in serum (range 82-102%, n=5), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 90-100%, n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 88-100%, n=5). Dilution linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Storage instructions specify +4°C or -20°C depending on the component, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
