Bovine Transthyretin ELISA Kit

A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Transthyretin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the competitive inhibition immunoassay technique: Transthyretin in the sample or standard competes with pre-coated antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Prealbumin Antibody, and unbound antibody is removed by washing before an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are added. Colour development is inversely proportional to Transthyretin concentration and is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

Specific to bovine samples, the assay runs in approximately 2 h 30 min on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Detection range is 7.81–500 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 2.8 ng/ml. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
