Bovine Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Transforming Growth Factor Beta 2 (TGF beta 2). The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. It uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TGF beta 2.

Standards and samples are added to the wells, where TGF beta 2 is captured by the immobilized antibody. A biotinylated anti-TGF beta 2 detection antibody is then added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm, with absorbance proportional to TGF beta 2 concentration. The assay has a working range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Validated recovery values are 80%-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma, with linearity demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in the same matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
