Bovine Thrombospondin 1 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Thrombospondin 1 in serum or plasma. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, a biotinylated anti-Thrombospondin 1 detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is quenched with an acidic stop solution and the yellow product is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The standard curve covers an assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 22 pg/ml, and the full protocol takes 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spike-and-recovery validation (n=5) gave ranges of 80%-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Parallel dilution-linearity testing at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (n=5) yielded 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma.
