Bovine TGF-ß ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of TGF beta 1 in bovine samples. The 4-hour assay is intended for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids, and uses a pre-coated microplate read on a standard colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The kit reports a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL, and is specific for TGF beta 1 with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Validated sample dilutions are 1:5-1:10 for healthy serum and 1:5-1:10 for healthy plasma. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=10), serum averaged 95% (range 87-101%), EDTA plasma averaged 97% (range 92-104%), and heparin plasma averaged 93% (range 89-98%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 spanned 90-100%, 86-105% and 85-93% for serum; 83-99%, 82-98% and 82-98% for EDTA plasma; and 80-90%, 86-97% and 80-100% for heparin plasma.

Standards and samples are added to wells pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for TGF beta 1; after washing, a biotinylated detection antibody is added to form an antibody-antigen-antibody sandwich. HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then introduced to generate a yellow product whose intensity, proportional to TGF beta 1 captured, is read against the standard curve. The kit ships at +4°C, with components held at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual.
