Bovine Sulfite Oxidase ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Sulfite Oxidase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with antibody specific for Sulfite Oxidase; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Sulfite Oxidase detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue product that turns yellow on addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and Sulfite Oxidase concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

Reported performance figures include an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.115 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Recovery values are reported for serum (n=5) at 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) at 81–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5) at 80–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is reported for serum (n=5) at 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; EDTA plasma (n=5) at 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; and heparin plasma (n=5) at 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%. Storage conditions vary by component at +4 °C or −20 °C. The kit includes lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
