Bovine Selectin, Leukocyte ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine CD62L in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for CD62L pre-coated onto a microplate. Captured CD62L is detected using a biotinylated anti-CD62L antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate, and the enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate solution, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The concentration of CD62L is proportional to the optical density read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and is calculated against a standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.074 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Reported recovery values, with sample size n=5 for each matrix, are 91% (range 80-102%) for serum, 90% (range 81-100%) for EDTA plasma, and 84% (range 80-89%) for heparin plasma. Approximate assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
