Bovine Prokineticin Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Prokineticin Receptor 1 (PK-R1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PK-R1. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-PK-R1 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the PK-R1 concentration calculated from the standard curve.

The standard curve range covers 0.937-60 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.23 ng/ml. Assay time is 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Dilutional linearity is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate platform comprising 12 x 8 well strips.

Kit components include pre-coated 96 well microplate strips, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Items are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past the stated expiration date.
