Bovine Polymeric Immunoglobulin Receptor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA enables the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Polymeric Immunoglobulin Receptor (PIGR) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-avidin and TMB substrate; absorbance is read at 450 nm. The standard curve covers 0.625–40 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.238 ng/ml, and the full assay takes 4h 30m. Reagent components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiry date.

Spike-and-recovery across five replicates ranged from 80% to 102% in serum (average 91%), 81% to 100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80% to 89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 gave ranges of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% in serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% in EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% in heparin plasma.
