Bovine Pleiotrophin ELISA Kit

Sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine PTN (Pleiotrophin) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. Standards and samples are added to the wells of a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PTN. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-PTN Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and PTN concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The assay range is 31.2–2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 11.4 pg/ml. Reported recovery ranges for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma span approximately 80–107% across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Components supplied include a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
