Bovine Pepsinogen A ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Pepsinogen I in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Pepsinogen I.

Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Pepsinogen I Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation with TMB substrate and addition of acidic stop solution, absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration of Pepsinogen I is calculated against a standard curve. Reported assay sensitivity is 0.58 ng/ml, with an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, and a typical assay time of 4 h 30 min. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed, and the kit is not to be used past its expiration date.

Reported recovery in spiked samples (n=5 per matrix) was 80%–102% (average 91%) in serum, 81%–99% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
