Bovine Oncostatin M ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Oncostatin M (OSM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Oncostatin M/OSM. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Oncostatin M/OSM Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Oncostatin M/OSM is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The reported product range is 62.5–4000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <15.8 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported validation data cover serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples, with average recovery values of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma, along with dilution linearity reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions.
