Bovine Matrix Metalloproteinase 7 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Matrix Metalloproteinase 7 (MMP7) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for MMP7, followed by incubation with biotinylated anti-MMP7 antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection uses TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Sensitivity is reported at <0.089 ng/ml, with a quantitative assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.

Sample recovery (average) is 91% in serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 shows serum (n=5) recovery ranging from 87–91% to 92–97%, EDTA plasma (n=5) from 90–105% to 79–108%, and heparin plasma (n=5) from 84–95% to 89–91%.
