Bovine Matrix Metalloproteinase 23B ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Matrix Metalloproteinase 23B (MMP23) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate to capture MMP23, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-MMP23 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Colour development is achieved with TMB substrate solution and an acidic stop solution, producing a yellow product whose density is proportional to MMP23 concentration, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.073 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values across five samples are 91% for serum (range 83–100%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 90–103%) and 94% for heparin plasma (range 90–99%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (n=5) gave 90–99%, 82–108%, 82–96% and 92–103%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 84–105%, 88–94%, 89–107% and 72–106%, and in heparin plasma (n=5) gave 89–92%, 88–108%, 84–102% and 90–98%.
