Bovine Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 Alpha ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 3 alpha in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) together with a biotinylated anti-target detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Colour development is achieved with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product after addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the target concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The stated measuring range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml, and the full assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing on serum (n=5) gave 80%–102% (average 91%), on EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%), and on heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Linearity on serial dilution from 1:2 to 1:16 ranged 87%–91% to 92%–97% for serum, 90%–105% to 79%–108% for EDTA plasma, and 84%–95% to 89%–91% for heparin plasma across five replicates per matrix. Components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
