Bovine Lipopolysaccharide Binding Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for LBP, with detection via a biotinylated anti-LBP antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate and the absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is <0.233 ng/ml and the standard assay range is 0.625–40 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Recovery values are provided for serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–99%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%), alongside dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its stated expiration date.
