Bovine Lectin Like Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine LOX 1 (Lectin Like Oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor 1) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for LOX 1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-LOX 1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the concentration of LOX 1 is calculated from the standard curve.

The kit is for bovine reactivity with a quantitative assay range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <13.2 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m on a pre-coated microplate platform comprising 12 x 8 well strips. Recovery has been characterised across five replicates per matrix: serum 80% - 102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81% - 100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80% - 89% (average 84%). Linearity was demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.

Included components are a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers.
