Bovine Interleukin 2 ELISA Kit

Workflow: a pre-coated microplate captures IL-2 from standards and samples. After washing, a biotinylated anti-IL-2 detection antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by addition of an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and IL-2 concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Performance characteristics include a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.9 pg/ml. In spiked-sample recovery testing (n=5), values ranged from 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-99% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity was also evaluated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.
