Bovine Interleukin 16 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine IL-16 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated antibody specific for IL-16 on a microplate, with detection via a biotinylated anti-IL-16 antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported recovery and dilution linearity data: In serum (n=5), average recovery was 91% (range 80%-102%); in EDTA plasma (n=5), 90% (81%-100%); in heparin plasma (n=5), 84% (80%-89%). Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 was as follows: serum (n=5) gave recovery of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, and 92-97% respectively; EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, and 79-108%; heparin plasma (n=5) gave 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, and 89-91%.
