Bovine Interleukin 1 Beta ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine IL-1 beta in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for IL-1 beta is immobilised on the plate; bound analyte is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-IL-1 beta Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The product range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, sensitivity is <6.1 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery has been validated in serum (80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80-89%, average 84%). Dilutional linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 has been demonstrated in serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97% respectively), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%).
