Bovine Interferon Gamma ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Interferon gamma in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, using a biotinylated anti-Interferon gamma detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. After addition of TMB substrate, the enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that converts to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a working range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 6.3 pg/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values (n=5) range from 80% to 102% for serum (average 91%), 81% to 100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80% to 89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
