Bovine Interferon Beta ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this assay kit enables in vitro quantitative measurement of bovine Interferon beta using a sandwich ELISA format on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. The colourimetric readout is captured at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with analyte concentration calculated against a standard curve. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The standard curve spans 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <5.7 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery performance is reported for serum (80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%); linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 is provided for the same matrices.

The workflow uses a biotinylated anti-Interferon beta detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, producing a yellow product after acid stop whose absorbance is proportional to bound analyte.
