Bovine Interferon Alpha ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Interferon alpha 1, this Sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is suited to serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a standard curve range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.9 pg/ml. Detection is colourimetric, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and the run time is 4h 30m.

Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave averages of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity on serial dilution across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions (n=5) showed recovery ranges of 74-107%, 79-108%, and 82-105% for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, respectively.
