Bovine Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 5 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 5 (IGFBP5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and a colorimetric readout read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader. Detection relies on a biotinylated anti-IGFBP5 antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with the complete assay taking 4 h 30 min.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.61 ng/ml and a working range of 1.56–100 ng/ml. Spiked recovery (n=5) averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity on dilution was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum (n=5) returning 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%, EDTA plasma (n=5) returning 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%, and heparin plasma (n=5) returning 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.

Supplied components are a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Storage recommendations are +4°C for the wash buffer, substrate and stop solution and -20°C for the plate, standard and detection solutions, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
