From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Insulin Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 (IGFBP3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated anti-IGFBP3 antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate, with detection via TMB substrate read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quantitative performance is described with a detection range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 23.5 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been reported at 80%-102% (average 91%) in serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma across serial dilutions.
