Bovine Insulin Like Growth Factor 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine IGF2 (Insulin Like Growth Factor 2) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a Biotinylated Anti-IGF2 Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported assay range is 3.12–200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.44 ng/ml, and the complete protocol requires 4 h 30 m. Spiking recovery for serum was 80%–102% (average 91%, n=5), for EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%, n=5), and for heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%, n=5). Linearity of dilution was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
