Bovine Insulin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Insulin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate platform with colorimetric detection, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and the capture reagent is a rabbit IgG antibody.

The reported detection range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.069 ng/ml. The procedure follows a standard sandwich immunoassay format in which bound Insulin is detected with a biotinylated anti-Insulin antibody and HRP-Avidin; signal is generated by TMB substrate and converted by an acidic stop solution. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported average values for neat samples are 91% for serum (n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5), with dilution linearity provided across 1:2 to 1:16 for each matrix.
