Bovine Immunoglobulin Binding Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Immunoglobulin Binding Protein 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Immunoglobulin Binding Protein 1 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Immunoglobulin Binding Protein 1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, generating a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration is calculated against the standard curve. The stated product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.041 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

Spike-and-recovery across sample types (n=5) averaged 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
